16 weeks, full time · £7,450 · kit included

Professional Artistry Diploma

Eight modules taught in sequence, four days a week, finishing with a two-week shoot block that produces the portfolio you leave with.

The week, in practice

Mondays to Thursdays, 10am to 4pm, with Friday kept clear for assisting calls and self-directed practice in the studios. Models are booked by the school for every practical session; you do not need to bring your own until the shoot block.

The eight modules

Module 01

Skin and preparation

Barrier function, prep for different skin conditions, and why most longwear failures begin before any colour is applied.

Module 02

Colour and tone matching

Undertone reading in daylight and tungsten, mixing bases rather than hunting for a shade that already exists.

Module 03

Corrective technique

Pigmentation, scarring, redness and tattoo coverage, worked on live models rather than practice boards.

Module 04

Eye architecture

Structure before decoration: how eye shape dictates placement, and the four shapes that cover most faces.

Module 05

Bridal and occasion

Longwear systems, timings for a party of six, and photographing your own work at the venue.

Module 06

Editorial and runway

Working to a brief and to a call sheet, backstage speed, and repeating a look across a line-up.

Module 07

Camera and lighting

How HD and 4K read texture, continuity notes across a shoot day, and the tests to run before you are on set.

Module 08

Freelance practice

Rates, contracts, insurance, kit hygiene records and the paperwork that gets you booked twice.

The kit

Every student gets a working kit rather than a branded starter box: brushes in a roll, a palette set that mixes rather than matches, disposables, sanitiser and a case that survives being carried. It is yours at the end and the hygiene module teaches you how to maintain records for it.

What the diploma does not include

  • Hair. Styling is a separate trade and we do not pretend a fortnight covers it.
  • Special effects prosthetics beyond an introduction in the corrective module.
  • Any guarantee of work. The assisting board is shared, not promised.

The shoot block

Two weeks that produce something you can send out

The final block runs like a small production: a call sheet, a photographer, a stylist, models booked to a schedule and a brief you have to interpret rather than copy.

  • six looks shot across the block, at least two of them beauty close-ups
  • Full resolution files, licensed to you outright
  • A portfolio review with two tutors before you leave
